    I am a third generation floor installer. My father started teaching me the trade when i was about thirteen years old. As soon as I finished school in 1995, I began installing floors full time with the company my father worked for. Within two years I was promoted to crew leader with a helper working under my guidance.

    Over the years I have learned the importance of floor prep and moisture detection. Failure to do proper floor prep is the number one reason for flooring installation failure, and, here in Florida, moisture in the concrete due to improper grading or leaks can cause a wood floor do go bad very quickly.

    I have had the privilege of installing many floors with custom layouts or borders. I have also done many staircases in hardwood, boxed or open ended, with wood, painted or tiled risers.
