Intermediate Installation and Sand & Finish

This school will be a offered in a bilingual format, with separate panels available for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students.

This school is designed to provide the practicing professional with comprehensive, hands-on training for the installation, sanding and finishing of many different kinds of flooring products.

Day one-Wednesday is Installation. A full day of hands-on installation training. Topics will include jobsite evaluation and preparation, installation techniques, and safety.

Day two-Thursday is Sand & Finish. Students will participate in hands-on sanding & finishing of custom floors. You will learn how to properly sand different kinds of wood, correctly use and maintain tools, and select finishing techniques that will yield top quality results. Custom design procedures and medallion demonstrations will be presented.

Day three -Friday-During the final session you will learn finishing techniques, including repair & recoat of existing floors. You will recieve hands-on training with multiple board replacement, hand scraping, removing finish imperfections, & other techniques. Pad & recoat techniques for aluminum oxide will also be discussed.
