MEGATEX - American Textile Machinery Exhibition International 2006 (ATME-I®)

Event
ATME-I® 2006 will be the largest show of its kind in the Americas. It is the recognised leading exhibition for textile machinery, equipment, accessories, supplies and services for the yarn and fiber, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing and finishing and other nonwoven manufacturing industries. The roots of this long-established show can be traced back to 1915, when the first Southern Textile Exposition was held in Greenville, SC. In 1969, the show joined forces with the American Textile Machinery Association (ATMA®) to become the first American Textile Machinery Exhibition-International (ATME-I®). Still located at Greenville’s Palmetto Expo Center, the show’s growth was so rapid that within four years a “two-show” format every three years had to be adopted. The show continued to grow, and it became clear that a new venue would be required.

With this long history and tradition, ATME-I® moves to Atlanta, GA, for the first time in 2006 to take up residence at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta’s premier exhibition facility. This venue is nearly four times the size of the Palmetto, allowing the show to reunite into one all-inclusive event at an expo center that can truly do it justice.

ATME-I® is certified by the United States Department of Commerce as an International Trade Fair and will be promoted to textile industry executives from throughout the world.
