CFI Certification & Training - ALL FLOORING TYPES

WFCA Sponsored CFI Training & Certification
Installers:
The following two-day courses focus on hands-on, skills training and knowledge for the professional residential flooring installer. Two year's experience is required for the certifications offered. Installers are welcome to opt out of the certification if the two year requirement cannot be met; however, a minimum of 6 months is required to attend for training only. Hand tools and supplies will be furnished during the training event.

Technical Personnel:
Technical Training & Certification is available for each flooring type for those that work in the flooring industry, but do not install.

Ceramic Installation
Topics include:
Job site Evaluation, Effects of Moisture, Substrate Preparation, Grades, Balancing Floors, Setting Materials, Transitions, Tile vs Stone, Membrane Systems, Radiant Systems and more.

Hardwood/Laminate Installation
Topics include:
Factory Finishes, Nail-down, Glue-down, Floating installations, Staple/Cleats, Job Site Evaluation, Grades, Sub-Floors, Effects of Moisture, Radiant Systems and more.

Residential Resilient Installation
Topics Include:
Effects of Moisture, Use of Stripping Agents, Patching Compounds, Types of Flooring (rotogravure, LVT, inlaid, linoleum, felt-backed, vinyl-backed, vinyl-composition tile (VCT), Vinyl asbestos tile (VAT) and rubber), Wall Base and Transitions, Installation Characteristics and more.

Carpet Installation
Topics Include:
Seaming of New Products, Powerstretching and wall-trimming Techniques, Pattern Matching, Correcting Bow, Skew and Pattern Elongation, Stair Upholstery without the use of staples and more.
