| There are many thousands of field complaints and requests for information received by tile industry organizations and experts. In response to these requests the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) is, for the first time, offering a class in ceramic tile standards and inspection. You will learn the latest ceramic tile industry standards, procedures, and methods from industry experts with over 100 years of combined experience in all phases of the industry including, Industry standards and test methods, How tile is manufactured and classified, Proper installation techniques, How to evaluate tilework, Correct use of materials and applications, How to prepare a written forensic report, How to reach industry resources. The source of the material will be from the TCA Handbook, ANSI Standards, ISO standards and test methods, and ASTM test methods along with generally accepted industry practices. Some hands-on training will be involved as required. Prerequisites for this class include some knowledge about substrates and general construction, use of common tools, and ability to write clearly. Certificates of attendance provided to all attendee’s. Certificate of completion is awarded upon satisfactory completion. Instructor approval is required prior to registration. | |||
