I've inspected quite a few of these floors. Today I started my first one. I have to say, it was not fun or easy as it the manufacturer claims.
The planks all had a slight bow in them. This does not help engage the T&G not does it help prevent a bouncy floor. What good is a flat floor if your planks are all bowed?
Not a fan of that 5G system where to stupid piece of plastic is supposed to pop in and out of the end joint when actuated. Half the time you have to tap on the end joint or else you get a proud corner. Some times if the end joint is to close it will not engage. I actually broke the corner of one plank when I tapped it.
Then on this product they glue the attached cushion on, there is an exposed line of adhesive around the perimeter. I have not seen this on any other laminates. It grabs the 6 mil sometimes. And the core material seems to be of very poor quality.
Sure helps to go install some of this stuff we inspect. Gives you an very different perspective on things.

Today its a crappy ole rotating lock system, Value lock or something. Even worse.
It's now wonder consumers do not like laminate. Value = cheap.
