Wear-Dated “Rewards for Life” Program Merges into Mohawk Infinite Rewards
DALTON, GA (July 7, 2009)—Wear-Dated®’s rewards program for retail sales associates, “Rewards for Life,” has become part of Mohawk Infinite Rewards, the most popular retail sales associate rewards program in the flooring industry. The transition was official on July 1.

The move will make it easier for retail sales associates to claim points and manage their reward accounts. No points are lost as part of the combination; all “Rewards for Life” points moved to Mohawk Infinite Rewards on July 1. In addition, under the Wear-Dated Rewards for Life promotion participants continue to earn points every day for selling Wear-Dated styles.

Retail sales associates who have “Rewards for Life” accounts but are not enrolled in Mohawk Infinite Rewards were sent an e-mail with details on how to access their accounts on the Mohawk Infinite Rewards website.

In Canada, “Rewards for Life” points transferred to the Canada AIR MILES program that is part of Mohawk Infinite Rewards.

“Instead of having to visit two websites to claim points, retail sales associates now only have to visit one,” said Mike Zoellner, Vice President of Marketing Services for Mohawk. “Everything is in one place, in a format that’s easy to understand and track.”

Zoellner said that points in “Rewards for Life” and Mohawk Infinite Rewards have been interchangeable for some time. “The Infinite Rewards platform is newer and has more capability. It made sense to combine the programs under the Mohawk Infinite Rewards banner,” he said.

Bart Rich, Director of Brand Management for Mohawk, also noted that by combining the programs, Mohawk is giving retail sales associates more opportunities to earn points and rewards.

“This gives retail sales associates more qualifying products,” Rich said. “Plus, there’s the opportunity to earn on Wear-Dated products year-round. Retail sales associates can also earn points every day on Mohawk products. Combining the programs means less overhead and a chance to focus more on promotions and rewards.”

Mohawk Infinite Rewards established the standard for industry promotions by allowing retail salespeople to accumulate points from promotions throughout the year, rather than have to redeem them just with particular promotion events. This allowed retail sales associates to accumulate points for larger rewards. It is not uncommon for retail salespeople participating in the Mohawk program to earn enough points for trips, big screen televisions, designer jewelry, or even Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Mohawk allows retail salespeople to roll points over from year to year so they can earn larger rewards.

Retail sales associates earn points in the Mohawk Infinite Rewards program for a wide variety of products, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile, resilient and cushion. Throughout the year, participants also earn points for completing online education modules—which also improve their selling skills to earn more Infinite Rewards points on the sales floor.
