Freely Creative, The New CIR Products at Cersaie 2017
Casalgrande, 26 June 2017 – “Free your imagination” is the invitation from CIR those who want to experiment, invent and make each project unique and special. It’s an invitation that will be renewed at the next Cersaie, in Bologna from 25 to 29 September, where the Reggio Emilia company Cersaie will present new collections and new solutions, all strictly unconventional, to interpret the many emotions accompanying contemporary design. The MAT collection, dedicated to the expressive powers of non-reflective surfaces, is the proposal that CIR is bringing to the audience at the international ceramics fair for architecture, offering an evolution in the concept of simple, minimalist decoration and transforming neutral colours and sizes into distinctive elements.

MAT is MAT C – “Concrete” – or cement in its most technical expression, with the traditional colours of cement mixtures in various shades, becoming unusual, versatile surfaces through a handcrafted creative process. And Mat is also MAT W (“Wood”), where the ceramic material is moulded into an irreverent homage to wood because only the characteristic surface veining is taken from nature: however, it benefits from the enhanced laying possibilities offered by the choice of making MAT W available only in the “Sestino” size 6.5x40 cm.

The sophisticated MAT world of colour comprises Cold Materials (Oyster, Zinc and Smoke) and Warm Materials (Cloud, Sandal and Mud), creating interesting and transverse points of contact through two accent-colours (Brichy and Sky), which can also be used in juxtaposition. The MAT range comes in size 80x80 cm, for the first time in CIR’s history, thus significantly widening the potential of this collection but not forgetting the company’s traditional production and its passion for decoration and micro-sizes.

CIR will be at Cersaie 2017 booth n. B5 hall 16.
