Witex Flooring Introduces ceraclic - Product Visually and Tactically Resembles Stone
ATLANTA (June 12, 2006) NeoCon Space 8-9106 – Witex Flooring, Inc. introduces ceraclic, a unique and completely new breed of product that is designed to look and feel like natural stone. Manufactured using a high-density, mineral HGF core board, ceraclic is available in 15 styles from Marble Siena to Granito Boticello with the choice of either a high-gloss or matte finish. It installs easily using a glueless click-joint system. Designed for residential or commercial use, ceraclic is quiet, comfortable underfoot, non-slip and non-combustible.

“Granite and marble have always been popular looks that give a room a stylish finish; however, they are very expensive for mainstream consumers and businesses,” said Roland Elbracht, president of Witex Flooring. “Priced affordably, ceraclic makes the natural look of stone attainable, and it is easier to install.”

ceraclic installs more quickly and easily than ceramic or natural stone because no mortar or adhesive curing is required. Instead, ceraclic has a click-joint system that enables an installer to snap it together quickly, typically within a day.

ceraclic can be installed over any subfloor and requires no special sub-grade preparation. The core board’s homogeneous density allows the material to be worked effortlessly during fitting. In addition, the material can be cut to shape using standard tools.

ceraclic features a Sound-Protect acoustic system that minimizes ambient and footfall noise. The footfall noise insulation also simplifies installation by leveling out minor areas of unevenness in the sub-grade material.

ceraclic absorbs and maintains heat in its pores, so it is warmer than stone underfoot. In addition, the surface of ceraclic is manufactured using X-Protect, which is moisture-resistant, impact-resistant and hard wearing to protect the surface from scratches, abrasions and stains.

In 2005, German-based Witex AG established Witex Flooring Inc., Kennesaw, Ga., as a wholly owned subsidiary. Today, it is the sole authorized distributor of Witex branded laminate floors in the United States. For more than 15 years, Witex has manufactured laminate flooring and today is recognized worldwide as a leading floor supplier.
