Witex Flooring Announces elastoclic - Commercial-Grade Floor is a New Alternative to PVC and Vinyl
ATLANTA (June 12, 2006) NeoCon Space 8-9106 – Witex Flooring, Inc. announces the launch of elastoclic, a new alternative to PVC and vinyl. The 100% polyurethane surface, which is laid on an Aqua-Protect core board, is designed primarily for commercial use because of its antistatic, antimicrobial and chemical-resistant properties. The highly durable elastoclic comes in 34 decorator colors, and it is fast and easy to install because it features the performance-proven, glueless LocTec click-joint system.

“Unlike similar products on the market today, elastoclic rebounds in shape instantly, so there are no permanent indentations from furniture, store displays or shoes,” said Roland Elbracht, president of Witex Flooring. “In addition to its aesthetic qualities, elastoclic is gentle on the joints, so it is ideal for rehab clinics, general practitioners, nurseries, schools, long-term care homes and health clubs.”

Elastoclic is both safe and sanitary. During the manufacturing of elastoclic, no plasticizers, chlorine, formaldehyde, or solvents are used. As a result, no fumes are released when the floor is laid. The product is odor-neutral and non-toxic, even in the case of fire. In addition, a special anti-microbial treatment is applied to elastoclic during the manufacturing process to prevent the spread of bacteria and fungi.

The specially treated Aqua-Protect core board guarantees lasting durability, even when installed in rooms with high humidity, such as kitchens and bathrooms. The AquaProtect core board provides built-in resistance to the harmful effects of water or liquid spills. If it does get dirty, elastoclic is a cinch to clean. No harsh chemicals or cleaning agents are necessary.

elastoclic is available in a wide range of decorative colors, from Teracotta and Ocean to Stone Grey and Slate. The color choices are available in two collections: the Solid collection or the speckled Harmony collection, creating a total of 34 decors.

In 2005, German-based Witex AG established Witex Flooring Inc., Kennesaw, Ga., as a wholly owned subsidiary. Today, it is the sole authorized distributor of Witex branded laminate floors in the United States. For more than 15 years, Witex has manufactured laminate flooring and today is recognized worldwide as a leading floor supplier.
