Beaulieu-tiful Tribute
In commemoration of Al Wahnon’s more than 50 years of chronicling the flooring industry, Beaulieu of America honored FCNews’ founder with a custom-crafted crystal sculpture bearing Wahnon’s portrait. Ralph Boe, right, the mill’s president and COO, made the presentation during a special luncheon ceremony at Smith & Wollensky in New York. The etched inscription reads: “Beaulieu of America Salutes Al Wahnon, President, Editor and Publisher...For 50 Glorious Years of Service to the Floor Covering Industry.” In addition, both Boe and Carl Bouckaert, Beaulieu’s, chairman and CEO, wrote, “You have been a true friend to Beaulieu in times of good and bad. We have always been able to count on you and have truly enjoyed our relationship on both a professional and personal level. Your passion for this industry is unmatched, and we want to commend you on a job well done and a life fully lived...we look forward to many more years of reading your editorials.”
