Shaw changes locking system for laminates
Dalton—Due to advancing technologies, Shaw Industries has changed the mechanical locking system found on its laminate floors. David Wilkerson, vice president of marketing for Shaw’s Hard Surface Division, said the company’s popular VersaLock has been replaced with VersaLock AG (Advanced Generation).

“VersaLock AG offers a faster, easier installation and increased joint strength,” he said. VersaLock AG still provides the benefits of VersaLock such as high moisture resistance but offers enhanced seam reliability and faster, easier installation.

The VersaLock AG system will be used on all laminate styles produced at Shaw’s plants in Ringgold, Ga., and Algona, Wash.
