Faus investing $20 million in U.S. plant - Will greatly expand production capabilities
CALHOUN, GA.—Faus Group is making an additional investment of $20 million for the manufacturing of laminate flooring at its plant here. The announcement comes about one year after the initial opening of its first U.S. facility.

The laminate producer will significantly expand its current manufacturing capacity by adding a second milling line in January that will increase its milling production up to 100 million square feet per year. Additionally, four more presses will be added during 2008 that will further enhance the company’s production capabilities.

“We all know that the flooring industry is presently going through a difficult economic situation,” said Juan Flores, president of Faus Group. “However, we are making this additional $20 million investment because we are convinced it will maximize our efficiency in the manufacturing of high-end laminate flooring, as well as positively strengthen the company’s partnerships with key customers in the U.S. market.”
