Faus Group, Faus Shanghai File Infringement Suit
Calhoun, GA- Faus Group and Faus Shanghai announce that they have filed a patent infringement lawsuit in China against Hangzhou Singular Group Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Bai Ju Yi Floor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for infringement of the Faus Patents for Embossed-in-Register® and Bevel products. Faus intends to continue enforcing its patents in China and throughout the world.

In addition to the Faus Patent for Embossed-in-Register® and Bevel products that is the subject of this infringement action, Faus is pleased to announce that in July 2007, the Chinese Patent Office granted Faus an additional Chinese patent relating to Embossed-in-Register®/ beveled products.

Faus has received numerous patents worldwide on Embossed-in-Register® and other innovations, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Russia, China, India, and Australia. In addition to these granted patents, Faus has over 100 patent applications pending throughout the world on Embossed-in-Register®/ bevel and other surface technologies and flooring innovations such as Interplank®, Microbevel®, LongStrip® Multi-Direction Design™, and FastDesign™. Faus has granted licenses to many prominent laminate flooring manufacturers worldwide, including several in China, and continues to expand its licensing program.

Most recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has informed Faus of its intent to grant a patent application on Faus’ 5-in-1 molding, which is sold under the FasTrim® brand. FasTrim® is a multi-transition system that offers five moldings in one package for laminate and hardwood flooring.
