Beaulieu launches consumer ad campaign
DALTON—Times may be tough but that is not stopping Beaulieu of America from supporting its Bliss dealers. The carpet manufacturer is launching a fall advertising campaign that is expected to be seen by millions of potential consumers.

Patricia Flavin, senior vice president of marketing, said the full-page ad urges consumers to visit their Bliss by Beaulieu dealer with the headline ‘We’re Giving Away Free Bliss.’ “It actually points out the easy, no hassle way shoppers can get free take-home carpet samples from the innovative Bliss display.”

The focus of the ad campaign is two-fold, she explained. “We not only want to reinforce what’s distinctive and exciting about our brand, but to focus on supporting our Bliss dealers.”

The Bliss ad will appear in the inaugural publication of Beautiful Flooring, a Better Homes and Gardens special interest magazine developed in conjunction with the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA). Hitting the streets Oct. 28, the magazine will land in over 60,000 supermarket, home improvement retailer and bookstore newsstands.

To supplement newsstand sales, and as part of the partnership, Chris Davis, WFCA’s president and CEO, said at the time the magazine was announced, the organization will have 20,000 copies of the publication available for distribution to member retailers upon request for whatever use they deem appropriate (FCNews, June 2/9).

To ensure Bliss dealers get the most from the ad, Flavin said Beaulieu reserved a prominent position—across from the Table of Contents. “The magazine addresses a real need of homeowners seeking good advice and ideas on flooring from a highly respected name: Better Homes and Gardens. Beautiful Flooring is the latest title in the very successful assortment of special interest magazines that cover a variety of home improvement topics, including lighting, baths, decorating ideas and kitchens.”

She added this ad campaign is just the beginning of Beaulieu’s support of Bliss, which is the residential carpet brand designed to appeal to preferences of female consumers in colors, styles, indoor environment, durability and overall shopping experience. “We intend to expand our awareness to consumers as our distribution continues to grow.”
