Mannington partners with Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources
CALHOUN, GA.—Mannington Commercial has been named a Gold Level Partner in the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia Program.
Mannington is one of 14 companies to receive the Gold Level designation, which is reserved for those whose environmental programs integrate pollution prevention efforts and community outreach while demonstrating continual improvement.
The state’s initiative not only recognizes businesses with outstanding environmental practices, but it also brings them together to develop additional corporate sustainability efforts.
“Partners such as Mannington lead the way in implementing sound environmental practices,” said Suzanne Burnes, manager of the program, “while recognizing that what’s good for the environment can also be good for the bottom line.”
The partnership is a free program open to any business that operates in Georgia and offers a variety of incentives to foster environmental leadership and recognize superior environmental performance.
