Beaulieu brings Bliss ‘home’
ATLANTA—In a further demonstration of taking the brand to the consumer, Beaulieu of America brought its Bliss concept directly to homeowners in the Atlanta area by participating in the recent Atlanta Home Show at the Cobb Galleria Convention Center. As one of the region’s largest and most popular home shows, it attracts between 30,000 and 40,000 consumers each fall and spring.

Bliss was displayed at the We Teach House exhibit area, a unique educational concept developed by Stan Garnet of Roswell, Ga. An actual framed-in home that exposes the inner workings and construction, the We Teach House shows how products of participating sponsors are installed and used. Beaulieu’s Bliss was the exclusive floor covering sponsor.

Partnering with Beaulieu was Atlanta Flooring Resource & Design, a 17-year-old dealer in Decatur, Ga., owned by Jeff Nix and Sharon Edwards. Presently, much of its business comes from the professional ranks. Both the store’s staff and Beaulieu associates worked together at the show.

As an added enticement to learn more about Bliss, an entire house of carpet was given away to a lucky visitor registering at the booth.

“Our partnership with Atlanta Flooring in an exciting venue like this is a great way manufacturer and retailer can work together for everyone’s benefit,” said Patricia Flavin, senior vice president of marketing for Beaulieu. “We want to do more of this kind of opportunity with our retailers.”

Two other area dealers—Dalton Flooring Outlet and Floor Innovations, both of Norcross, Ga.—also showcased Bliss at the home show.
