Mannington ‘backed’ with NSF platinum certification
SALEM, N.J.—Mannington’s credo of action speaks, especially when it comes to making environmental claims, is shown by the company’s commercial carpet backing systems— UltraBac RE and Infinity RE—which have been certified to the Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard, ANSI/ NSF-140.
Both systems received a platinum certification, the standard’s highest rating. UltraBac RE is a backing for broadloom, while Infinity RE is for modular carpet.
The certification comes following the announcement this past summer that Mannington Commercial’s inlaid resilient flooring became the first to receive a gold certification under the NSF-332 draft standard for resilient flooring (FCNews, July 7/14, 2008).
“Continuing to earn certification under the rigorous NSF standards is an honor that further validates our commitment to sustainability on the industry stage,” said Dave Kitts, vice president of environment for Mannington Mills.
