Mannington Mills Enters Chinese Retail Market
SALEM, NJ – February 17, 2009 -- Mannington Mills, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Elegant Living to manufacture hardwood products under the Mannington brand name in China, as well as distribute Mannington’s U.S.-made flooring products.
The products that are manufactured in China will be co-branded as ‘Elegant Living – Mannington’, and, according to Kim Holm, President of Residential Business at Mannington, “will be held to the same high quality standards that we use for domestic production.” Holm continued, “We are proud to introduce the Mannington brand to Chinese consumers, and believe that this partnership with Elegant Living will be a win-win.”
The program will phase in throughout this year to over 500 retail location across China, and was introduced by Holm during his keynote address at Elegant Living’s annual distributor conference last week in China.
