Beaulieu’s Bliss tour wraps with success
Rounding out its post-Surfaces tour, Re-Surfaces, Beaulieu recently rolled things up with dealer support at the spring Atlanta Home Show and a final tour stop in Orlando promoting its latest Bliss collections.

In Atlanta, Beaulieu partnered with Atlanta Flooring Resource & Design at the Cobb Galleria to give away an entire house-full of its Bliss carpet to one lucky attendee, said Patricia Flavin, senior vice president of marketing. “We aimed to provide visibility for Bliss at the show,” she said, “which was reinforced with its showcase in the ‘We Teach House’ exhibit as well. We also supplied advertising, product and logistical support.”

“We Teach House” is an innovative exhibit that is a framed-in model house demonstrating various products and practices of home constructions that attendees can walk through and utilize as a learning tool, Flavin noted.

Overall she called the show a success for both Bliss and its dealer partners. “Though attendance was slightly off from prior years, the appeal of Bliss was not lost.”

In regards to its final Re-Surfaces stop—the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center— Beaulieu again featured its latest brand, Bliss, introducing collections such as Bliss Flirtation, Bliss Healthy Home—with Silver and Zinc Release antibacterial protection—and Bliss for Kids as well as several new Bliss display systems, which save space yet still provide convenient storage for samples.

And the final destination’s numbers alone spoke to its success with 69 dealers in attendance and 68 displays sold. “We had several of the major players in the state attend, including three of the top 60 retailers in the country,” touted Steve Meier, Southeast divisional vice president for Beaulieu. “All the dealers loved the new offerings, and all in all, it was a great show. Beaulieu believes that Bliss will continue to energize the dealers’ profitable carpet business with these exciting intros in ’09.”
