Surfaces’ attendee advisory council gets ready for next year’s show
DALLAS—Surfaces 2010 may not be taking place until next Feb. 2 to 4, but that didn’t stop its Attendee Advisory Council from meeting here for two days to begin planning the upcoming year’s educational program and develop ideas on how to enhance the overall program.
Comprised of members from key business segments of the industry, the participants in the council “are the eyes and ears of the industry,” said Dana Teague, show director, “and provide invaluable leadership in both planning the education program and generating ideas on how to continue to improve and grow the show for our attendees.”
Members of the ’09/10 council are: John Namba, executive director of the International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association; Paul Friederichsen, owner of BrandBiz, Christine Whittemore, chief simplifier of Simple Marketing Now; Scott Perron, president of Big Bob’s of America and columnist for FCNews; Mike Micalizzi, technical services manager for Mapei, and Joan Ceccarelli of Timeless Designs.
Teague said the council helps with the market’s education program in order for the show to offer what has become “the most relevant and timely education for all flooring professionals.”
“This is the best forum for wide ranging, industry relevant subject matter presented by some of the top minds in floor covering,” noted Friederichsen. “The educational program presented by Surfaces is simply the best value in the business, bar none.”
She noted the education program for 2010 will be available in late August.
