Beaulieu initiates its own Midwest ‘stimulus package’
CHICAGO—With the aim of helping dealers increase their own sales, Beaulieu of America hosted 250 retailers at its first-ever Bolingbrook, Ill., warehouse show and sale. The invitation-only event ran for two days in this Chicago suburb.

Dealers from the Chicago-land market, as well as from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Ohio, were represented. Everything from remnants to large rolls, from $1.50 per square yard to $16 per square yard, and from Bliss for Kids to Bliss by Beaulieu Flirtation were offered to the dealers at “stimulating values.” Sales far exceeded expectations, according to mill executives.

“This sale was extremely successful due largely to the support of our dealers,” noted Richard Abramowicz, central division vice president, Beaulieu of America. “Many of our dealers said this was one of the best sales they had attended.”
