Mohawk redesigns FloorCare Essentials
DALTON—New formulas, packaging and merchandising has revamped the line of Mohawk’s FloorCare Essentials to help give the cleaning and maintenance products greater appeal to consumers. Some of the new-and-improved products in the line include carpet stain remover and care kits, odor eliminator, wood and laminate care kits, and tile and grout cleaner with a new care kit.

“FloorCare Essentials gives retailers an opportunity to connect with customers every few months rather than every few years,” said Mike Zoellner, vice president of marketing services. “With the new formulation and packaging we’re making FloorCare Essentials an even better relationship builder and profit center.”

In addition to the expanded line of cleaners, another opportunity to build transparency is with Mohawk’s shift to green cleaning. The entire 32-ounce bottle, including the spray nozzle, can be recycled into Mohawk EverStrand PET carpet. All FloorCare Essentials products also carry the “Design for the Environment” seal from the Environmental Protection Agency that ensures environmental attention to ingredients, manufacturing and use.

Worried about the effectiveness of green cleaning? FloorCare Essentials contain no surfactants, meaning no residue is left behind to collect dirt and dust. Additionally, all new formulations have been tested by the Carpet & Rug Institute, Wool Safe and the Toxic Use Reduction Institute, and were found to clean better than national branded products, Zoellner said.
