DALTON GA – For the second year in a row, Beaulieu Group, LLC is among the tops in corporate training, according to the Georgia Society for Technical Training and Development at their annual fall workshop held at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center. Mark E. Short, Corporate Trainer, Repair Department, won this year as Floor Trainer of the Year for 2009. Joseph Santonastaso and Matt Wells of Beaulieu won for Safety Trainer and Classroom Trainer of the Year, respectively, in 2008.

Short has been with Beaulieu for over 9 years and is responsible for providing various types of training and evaluation for all carpet finishing inspectors for every Beaulieu plant. His emphasis on proper training has resulted in a dramatic improvement on the quality of our finished product. This resulted in a reduction of 72% in claims. Beaulieu is the largest carpet-only producer in America and employs over 6,000 associates.

In addition to Mr. Short’s recognition, Ben Canedo, Special Projects Training Specialist for Beaulieu, was a keynote speaker on the topic of cultural diversity in the workplace.
