Hagaman Finds New Success with Wool Lines Branded by Wools of New Zealand
MARIETTA, GA, July 7, 2010— Founded by Dan Hagaman in 1983, Hagaman Carpet, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, entered the wool carpet business in 2008 with the launch of a line of uniquely styled, tufted wool products, branded for quality and performance by Wools of New Zealand.

Hagaman has now created a second line of wool carpet—also carrying the Wools of New Zealand brand—that is manufactured on state-of-the-art tufting equipment to produce a bulky, soft hand, further differentiated by a color line developed for American home fashion.

Hagaman’s technologically advanced tufting machine was further enhanced by proprietary modifications to create unequaled capabilities in yarn control, according to Dan Hagaman. “With this technology, we offer products that feel like more expensive carpets and have such a high definition of pattern that they approach a woven look,” Dan says.

Hagaman was established after Dan Hagaman sold Danube Carpets, a hospitality carpet manufacturer that specialized in applied pattern nylon products. With that wealth of knowledge and experience, Hagaman began as a patterned nylon carpet mill serving residential and commercial markets. Then Dan Hagaman saw need in the wool market and set out to fill it.

“We are a three generation business,” says Michael Hagaman, son of the founder. “We are willing and able to take premium raw materials and a make a high quality product. We take the time to make it right and offer a great value in the marketplace.”

In addition to its running lines in New Zealand wool, Hagaman offers custom manufacturing. “We can make a custom product for as little as a 12 x 50’ order,” notes Michael. An average custom sample can be made in three weeks. “If the product is totally re-engineered, it can take five weeks,” he adds.

“Hagaman has only been manufacturing wool carpet for a couple of years”, says Elise Demboski, Executive Director of Wools of New Zealand, North America. “They’ve done an impressive job and are working closely with Wools of New Zealand to grow their business. Hagaman’s Wools of New Zealand brand lines are carried by floor covering specialty stores as well as designer showrooms. Despite the recession, Hagaman’s is experiencing double digit growth and is well poised for further success.”
