Mannington opens tx:style design challenge
CALHOUN, GA.—Mannington Commercial’s successful social networking design competition, the tx:style design challenge, is now open for entries. It is also taking this year’s grand prize winners to Paris.

Now in its third year, the competition invites any designer to imagine, create and upload design concepts for flooring products to manningtontxstyle.com. Six finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges on the basis of public comments, aesthetics, creativity and manufacturability. Each wins $3,000, promotion in a national advertising campaign and a trip to NeoCon in Chicago.

At NeoCon, two grand-prize winners will be announced, chosen entirely by public voting online. These winners will create a full collection to be manufactured and marketed by Mannington, a total purse of $6,000 and a trip to Maison & Objet—the Paris trade show that connects the world of architecture and design with interior products.

“What better way to celebrate design than by announcing the designers of our next collections at America’s biggest interiors trade show and taking the winners to the Maison & Objet in Paris?” said Natalie Jones, vice president of commercial brand development and creative product.

Also new this year, designers of any experience level are welcomed to enter tx:style design challenge in one of two categories: those with less than seven years of professional experience, and those with more than seven years.
