The Mohawk Group Unveils Facebook Honor Wall in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness
MARIETTA, Ga., Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrating 10 years of partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® through its Specify for a Cure® cause marketing program, leading commercial carpet manufacturer The Mohawk Group and its four brands – Lees, Karastan Contract, Bigelow and Durkan – recently launched its Facebook Honor Wall (the Wall), an online tribute dedicated to spreading awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

Designed to help all individuals personally or indirectly affected by the disease to grow stronger together, the Wall encourages posts to support patients, share the importance of early detection, tell survivor stories and reminisce in memoriam – all as a reminder why the need for a cure is so great.

The Wall launched as Mohawk marks its 10th anniversary of Specify for a Cure, through which the Company has contributed nearly $4 million since 2001 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year, Mohawk is donating $.05 - $.25 per square yard of select carpets specified for 500 yards or more, registered and sold, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $150,000.

For more information about Mohawk's breast cancer initiatives, click here or share your story on Mohawk's Honor Wall. Those who post to the Wall now through December 2011 will automatically be entered to win one of five pink iPod Shuffles featuring a Specify for a Cure engraving.
