Mohawk Group Partners with Designer Pages for 'In Your Space' Project Installation Challenge
MARIETTA, Ga., April 3, 2012— The world’s leading architects and designers can now evaluate and celebrate the work of their peers as part of an exciting, new project installation challenge. Mohawk Group, in partnership with Designer Pages, is launching In Your Space, a four-round online competition that invites the A&D community to vote for their favorite space featuring carpet from Mohawk Group’s premier brands. The winner from each round will compete head-to-head in a “Final 4 Showdown,” which will conclude with a special presentation at NeoCon 2012.

“As the world’s largest flooring manufacturer, Mohawk Group has the distinct privilege of working with the industry’s most talented architects, designers and design firm teams,” said Merrie Barnett, director of marketing for Mohawk Group. “We wanted to create a venue that would recognize their outstanding work, as well as inspire and challenge the A&D community. The In Your Space competition also gives the contract industry an opportunity to see Mohawk’s products in real design applications, demonstrating our ability to singlehandedly meet the flooring needs of today’s architects and designers.”

The In Your Space challenge is a partnership between Mohawk Group and Designer Pages, a resource dedicated to helping designers find great products and connect with the manufacturers that make them. Designer Pages is the Digital Partner for NeoCon and host of the popular Product Wars competition.

The In Your Space competition includes four rounds of online voting, with each round featuring up to four competing project installations. A winner will emerge from each round, and the winning four installations will compete in a “Final 4 Showdown,” culminating at NeoCon 2012. Mohawk Group and Designer Pages will reveal the grand prize winner during a special reception at Mohawk Group’s NeoCon showroom Tuesday, June 12. The overall winning design firm will receive a trip for two to a Trend Union seminar, which includes airfare, hotel and tickets to the workshop.

Voting periods for the In Your Space competition are as follows:

• Round 1: April 2-April 15
• Round 2: April 16-April 30
• Round 3: May 1-May 15
• Round 4: May 16-May 31
• Final 4 Showdown: June 1- June 11
• Grand Prize Winner Announced: June 12 at NeoCon
