Mohawk Announces Hardwood Price Increase
DALLAS, June 5, 2013 – Mohawk announces it will raise prices on all Mohawk brand solid and select engineered hardwood flooring products up to 7%, effective on all orders placed on or after August 5, 2013.

“The cost of lumber continues to rise due to the demand for wood coupled with a slower supply response. This sustained increase in raw materials impacts all levels of our hardwood production”, said Jamie Byrne, senior vice president of hard surfaces. “We greatly appreciate the support and loyalty we receive from our customers. In addition to offering the highest quality products, Mohawk will continue to provide the finest service, business and marketing support to help our partners be successful,” said Byrne.
