E.J. Welch Co. Fortifies Management Team, Hires Four New Team Members
St. Louis, Missouri, July 1, 2014 – Two accomplished E.J. Welch Co. associates have been promoted to full time management positions. Keith Throm will direct the southern sales team and manage installation products, while Erin Cartwright Fernandes will manage commercial products and direct the commercial specification team. Throm and Cartwright Fernandes – with 30 years and 17 years of company service respectively – will relinquish their individual customer accounts to manage fulltime.

In related moves, Matt Shaw has accepted the key account sales position vacated by Throm while Lisa Johnson-Powell has been hired to service the key design firms formerly called on by Fernandes. Shaw has twelve years of service with the company as an outstanding territory manager and Johnson-Powell is a 21 year veteran of the flooring industry. Replacing Shaw as Central Missouri Territory Manager is Bryce Irvin, most recently with Fastenal, an industrial tools and fasteners distributor.

Separately, E.J. Welch Co. has added two additional Commercial Sales Consultants to more closely support and service Chicago area building design firms. Joining Nora Scarpelli, an eight year employee of the company, are Kathryn Williamson and Kelli Mildren. Williamson was previously with HDW as a commercial designer and project manager, while Mildren was most recently a Sales Assistant with the company.

E.J. Welch Co. is a value added wholesale distributor serving the flooring trade since 1962. Its experienced people deliver better solutions every day through a diversified line of quality products.
