Quick-Step's Online "Design Guide" Helps Retailers Increase Sales
Dallas, TX – September 15, 2014 – As part of its comprehensive merchandising and selling system, Quick-Step launched another new online style and design informational piece in 2014, the Quick-Step “Design Guide”. The tool has enjoyed continuous traffic via the brand’s various online sites and has received rave reviews from distributors and retailers nationwide. The primary goal of the Design Guide is to make it even easier for consumers to choose the right Quick-Step floor for their needs.

“Every aspect of our comprehensive merchandising and selling system is designed with one purpose in mind – To help our retailers make more money by selling more Quick-Step product,” said Paij Thorn-Brooks, vice president of brand marketing for Unilin (Quick-Step’s parent company).

“Research shows that consumers want choices when shopping for flooring, but are often overwhelmed by the number of options,” said Thorn-Brooks. “Our new Design Guide helps take the intimidation out of selecting a new floor, making the process fun and easy for consumers.”

Throughout the pages of the new Quick-Step Design Guide, the brand’s celebrity designer partner Erinn Valencich essentially takes the consumer by the hand and walks them through the process of selecting the right floor for their needs. As with the majority of Quick-Step’s consumer communications, the Design Guide is all about style and design, presenting design instruction and tips from Erinn. Her presence in the Design Guide lends a generous amount of credibility, enthusiasm, and cache to the brand, further increasing the fun a consumer can have when going through the process of selecting a new Quick-Step floor.

“People naturally start shopping by color,” said Erinn Valencich, interior designer, style expert, recent contestant on NBC’s new hit design reality show American Dream Builders, and Quick-Step’s celebrity designer partner. “So our new Design Guide organizes Quick-Step floors by color category, describing each color category and what it brings to the space.”

“Within this design tool, I also provide professional style advice such as complementary wall color recommendations and suggestions for cabinetry finishes to go with each of the color categories,” said Valencich. “All of this design guidance really helps make the process of selecting a new Quick-Step floor simple and fun for the customer.”

Quick-Step’s Design Guide is available online on Quick-Step’s main website www.us.quickstep.com and via the new Quick-Step Style blog www.quickstepstyle.com or at no charge in printed form through retailer showrooms.

“Our Quick-Step brand continues to find great success with our proven formula of taking a superior product line and wrapping it in a comprehensive merchandising system,” added Thorn-Brooks. “The Design Guide is just one more example of our brand’s ‘added value’ that makes it even easier for our retailers to sell more Quick- Step product.”
