ArcUrb Design in Fort Lauderdale Renovates Complete New Bath with LUXE Linear Shower Drain + Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER-ST
ArcUrb Design Build, Inc. in Florida just wrapped up a complete and beautiful new master bath and custom residential shower redesign for a mid-century style home in Wilton Manors, a small town that shares part of its southeastern border with Fort Lauderdale.
ArcUrb Design project manager and leading interior designer Marcy Gordon was in charge of the complete removal and full redesign of the new master bath including the modern, barrier-free entry custom shower design for this one-level Florida bungalow.
The ArcUrb specification featured LUXE Linear Shower Drains – Pattern Grate, 100% stainless steel square-hole grid design linear drain in a standard 60” length that was installed against the far back wall of the long, narrow rectangular-shaped master bath. This style of drain placement creates the opportunity for a single-slope subfloor that’s pre-pitched ¼” per foot toward the modern, stylish LUXE Linear Drain along the back wall of 7’ x 5’ long, narrow master bath with a zero-threshold entry. ArcUrb surfaced the custom master bath floors with a colorful blend of Pompeii Mosaico Italian-style mosaic tiles.
The complete bath overhaul included the full tub-to-shower conversion using LUXE Linear Drains and a stylish blend of tiles for the shower floor. Also, ArcUrb’s totally fresh new redesign with the architectural-grade, 100% stainless steel LUXE Linear Shower Drain also serves to showcase one of the collections strongest attributes.
The modern, stylish multiple award-winning collection of fast, easy to install linear shower drains are produced independently of any and all waterproofing membranes, materials or methods.
Instead, LUXE Linear Drains are compatible with all-approved waterproofing systems, including the all-inclusive Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER-KIT that ArcUrb specified for the quick and easy installation of this custom LUXE Linear Shower Drain – Pattern Grate design set flush against the far back wall of this new Wilton Manors bath.
The Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER-KIT Shower System was selected for many reasons including speed, innovation and proven performance. The very best reason for using the Schluter-KERDI shower system for LUXE Linear Shower Drain installations is the complete elimination of the time-consuming, difficult, critical and tedious step of building a traditional bonded mortar bed that still has to be perfectly sloped at ¼” per foot in four different directions toward outdated round-center drain.
In addition, all LUXE Linear Shower Drains have been universally designed with a welded 2” central diameter outlet that allows the drain tube to slip easily into the barrel and simply replace the strainer and flange in any traditional clamped down shower floor.
