New Partnership with DIFFA Enriches NeoCon East's Opening Day Event
Baltimore, MD (October 2014) From products to programs to special events, the 12th edition of NeoCon East will offer this and so much more. This year, the show has teamed up with DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS to add fun networking opportunities to the opening day’s festivities (Wednesday, October 29, 4- 6PM), free to all show attendees. In addition to food and cocktails, the evening will play up the show’s Halloween timing with a Trick or Treat event that raises awareness and funds for DIFFA. Attendees can pick up a specially designed tote bag and a map of the show floor indicating participating exhibitors.

“It’s important to keep the show fresh and create opportunities for valuable face time. DIFFA is a great partner and we are honored to welcome them into our community. We are so pleased with the support this new initiative has received from our exhibitors and look forward to the response from attendees.” says Lindsey Martin, Director of Marketing.

Exhibitors including AB&D Furniture Mfg, AVTEQ, BBF, Dorma, Julie Industries/StaticSmart ESI Ergonomic Solutions, Friant, Atlas Carpet Mills, Nemo Tile Company, Spec Furniture, Versteel, National Office Furniture, Indiana Furniture, IOPC – Modular Millwork & BeCode US, and Karndean Designflooring will be getting into the spirit with creative takes on tricks and treats.

More than just candy, event sponsor Davis Furniture will be handing out Evolution of Smooth lip balm in refreshing blueberry and acai flavors. Affordable Interior Systems (AIS) will be treating visitors to bubble bottles. With every bottle they give away, AIS will donate an additional dollar to DIFFA.

The tote will be another treat. Jennifer Farris, Senior Design Director from the Baltimore-based full-service design firm RD Jones + Associates, lent her creative talent to support the cause. The graphic, inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s classic poem “The Raven,” pays tribute to the famous Baltimore native and recognizes event sponsors and partners. Its well-crafted play on words – This and so much more - is a direct reference to the rich offerings on display throughout the show floor.

Proceeds from the event will help fund DIFFA’s grants to support direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and provide preventative education for those at risk.
