Imagine Tile Donates Baroque Motif Tile for Guggenheim Estate in New York
NEW YORK, NY -- December 16, 2014 -- Imagine Tile, Inc. an industry leader pioneering the use of high-resolution imagery on commercially rated tile, recently worked with design firm III View Design & Construction, Inc. to create the Baroque Motif tile in teal for an installation in the Guggenheim Estate’s Hempstead House in New York. The tile is now available for special order as part of their Jacquard Collection.

The Guggenheim Estate is a 1912 Tudor-style mansion on the Sands Point Preserve, New York. The annual show house, with its "Home of an American Renaissance Family" theme, aimed to celebrate the Guggenheims' lifestyle in a Gatsby-era of opulence and elegance.

Tasked with designing an ensuite bathroom in the tudor-style mansion, III View Design & Construction, Inc. asked Imagine Tile to create a brilliant teal tile with a Baroque motif, intended to marry the function of a modern bathroom with the respect for the history of the estate’s Hempstead House. The intricately designed wall tile evokes the look of Persian fabrics, in a nod to the Guggenheim’s collection of items acquired from Europe, and serves as a focal point in the space.

Using a patented process, the commercially rated tiles feature a high-resolution pattern, in a 24-inch by 24-inch format. The tiles are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, contain no VOC’s and are made with durable, easy to clean, eco-friendly ceramic. The tiling is resistant to strong chemicals, UV lighting and can contribute credits for buildings obtaining LEED certification.
