Retailers & Distributors Voice Excitement Over Quick-Step's NEW Reclaime Line Extensions & Predict Strong Sales
Dallas, TX – February 2, 2015 – Recently, the Quick-Step booth at Surfaces 2015 was abuzz with retailers and distributors alike voicing their excitement over Quick-Step’s NEW 2015 Reclaimé Collection line extensions and their anticipation that this collection will again in 2015 be a top seller for retail stores nationwide. Quick-Step’s Reclaimé Collection offers the visuals and charm of reclaimed, vintage wood — in a high quality laminate plank floor that is not only beautiful, but durable, virtually maintenance-free, and priced to fit within most consumers’ budgets.

“Reclaimed hardwood floors are extremely popular,” said Art Layton, vice president of marketing at CMHSpace Flooring Products. “The roadblock most consumers run into is that reclaimed wood is scarce, so reclaimed hardwood prices are high. An exciting solution is Quick-Step’s Reclaimé Collection high quality laminate planks that provide consumers with the rich visual of reclaimed wood at an attractive price. Homeowners, including those who have never considered laminate, see Reclaimé as an economical yet fashionable way to bring the look of a reclaimed hardwood floor into their homes at a price that fits within their decorating budgets.”

“Our stores have had tremendous success with Quick-Step’s Reclaimé Collection over the past three years,” said Sean O’Rourke, vice president of sales for hard surfaces at Avalon Carpet & Flooring. “Reclaimé’s selling story really appeals to our customers. The highly realistic look of a beautiful reclaimed hardwood floor that also offers durability, low maintenance, and a good price has continually made Reclaimé one of our strongest selling laminates. The four new Reclaimé decors I saw at Surfaces were outstanding. They should be strong sellers for us this year.”

Reclaimé is also one of Quick-Step’s best-selling products. The collection was first launched during Surfaces 2012 and was so well received by retailers and consumers that new decors were launched into the collection during Surfaces 2013 and then again in 2014. Reclaimé has won the prestigious Dealers’ Choice Award for the “Best New Laminate Product” for the past three consecutive years.

“All of the products in the Reclaimé Collection are on pace with the latest design styles and trends in the home decorating market,” said Erinn Valencich, Los Angeles-based interior designer, contestant on NBC’s hit design reality show American Dream Builders, and Quick-Step’s designer partner. “Three of the biggest trends in hardwood flooring right now are time-worn visuals, strong character looks, and wide/long planks. Reclaimé’s sophisticated design, texture, and large plank size satisfy all of these design needs with unmatched realism and expansive style. I have personally used Reclaimé in many of my client projects, everywhere from a Malibu Beach seaside home to a New York City high-rise condominium. My clients and I have always loved their Reclaimé floors! I am very pleased with the stunning new Reclaimé line additions I saw last week at Surfaces and can’t wait to use them in some of my future designs!”

“Quick-Step prides itself on being the first to market with the hottest styles, latest trends, and most sophisticated features — and Reclaimé is one of our best products yet,” said Paij Thorn-Brooks, vice president of brand marketing for Unilin, Quick-Step’s parent company. “Quick-Step has the technical ability to produce visuals and an unmatched level of realism that competitors cannot. The level of realism, sophisticated design, and texture featured in our products makes it difficult for a consumer to tell the difference between a Reclaimé plank and real reclaimed, vintage wood. The four new Reclaimé additions launched recently at Surfaces are beautiful and should be very strong sellers right out of the gate for our distributors and retailers.”

“Reclaimé equips my retailers with a 12mm product that features a high level of style, intricate design, realism, and value-added features, such as extreme durability and low maintenance,” said Rich Kearsley, senior vice president of sales at Elias Wilf. “The four new designs I saw recently at Surfaces were very nice. I expect the same strong sales from these new 2015 Reclaimé line extensions that we have experienced every year since the collection’s launch.

“We are expecting our customers to continue experiencing success with Reclaimé sales during 2015,” added Thorn-Brooks. “The new 2015 line extensions as well as the existing Reclaimé products would be strong sellers on their own, but we are also continuing to effectively promote this product in the right way again this year. As always, our promotional efforts are geared toward helping our distributors and retailers sell more Quick-Step product.”

Details On Reclaimé Collection’s NEW 2015 Line Extensions
Quick-Step’s new Reclaimé 2015 line extensions offer consumers the rich, character look of three reclaimed, vintage hardwood designs and one rustic, “skip-sawn” textured surface, reminiscent of wood originally cut in a bygone era. The sophisticated styling and detailed designs achieve a heightened level of realism in these romantic visuals. The four new Oak decors feature a single plank design and these new designs offer the most realistic texturing ever available in laminate flooring. Effective high shade variation throughout the planks lends further authenticity.

Following the successful Reclaimé platform, the new designs are featured on 12mm thick and 7-1/2” wide by 54” extra-long planks to deliver unmatched realism and expansive style. Microbeveled edges frame all four sides of each Reclaimé plank. The top layer of each plank features a special anti-static surface that repels dust and dirt, making Reclaimé floors virtually maintenance-free.

Made in the USA, Reclaimé features Uniclic, the best and most widely-used glueless installation locking system in the world today. Patented Uniclic provides quick and easy installation as well as increased protection against water damage and warping. These floating floors may be installed on, above, or below grade level.

All Reclaimé products are CARB compliant and NALFA Certified. These designs feature wearlayer materials found in AC5 rated floors and are backed by a Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty as well as a 5-Year Medium Commercial Warranty.

These Quick-Step floors qualify as an Environmentally Preferred Product in most green rating systems; help a project get up to four LEED points; hold the prestigious FloorScore certification for indoor air quality; are made from 70% pre-consumer recycled material; can be re-used up to three times; and do not require glue during installation, avoiding introduction of volatile organic compounds.

The level of realism and sophisticated design in the Reclaimé Collection’s four new line extensions ensures that these new products offer consumers the best combination of style and value in the industry.
