Timeless Elegance and Mediterranean Style at Coverings 2015
Sassuolo, 11 March 2015 – The creative inspirations that Fincibec Group, with its brands Century, Monocibec and Naxos, will bring to Coverings 2015 are connected to the warmth of wood species, the modern elegance of marbles and stones, and the surfaces and colours of the artisan ceramics of Mediterranean countries.
At the leading US trade fair dedicated to the industry of ceramics and stones, to be held in Orlando from 14 to 17 April, the group based in Sassuolo (Italy) will present new ceramic designs that reinterpret a special material, namely, wood. The Sherwood collection, designed by Century, focuses on large formats and is available in planks up to 26.6 x 160cm. The wooden planks that inspired the collection are those used for the construction of huts and farmhouses surrounded by woods, with rustic surfaces and characterised by signs of ageing. A sophisticated mix of decorated small tiles adds originality to this series, which stands out for its strong character.
This wood, with its soft surfaces carefully hand-crafted by skilled workers, has inspired Woodtime, the new collection by Monocibec, which, with its delicate aesthetic sensitivity, reinterprets the natural qualities of this material, ideal for decorating modern homes. The long planks, typical of wooden floors, in the innovative 40 x 160, 26.6 x 160 e 20 x 160 cm sizes, provide unique architectural spaces finished with Woodtime, which also offers outdoor solutions.
The charm of luxury and the desire for elegance are the main features of Transalp, the other offer by Monocibec, to be showcased in Orlando. It is inspired by the most beautiful stones and marbles, selected among those traditionally used in architecture and furnishings, revisited in order to add a touch of timeless elegance to modern lifestyle. The extraordinary graphics of Transalp are emphasised by the large 78.5 x 157cm size and mirror-polished surface, enabling original creations with a strong visual impact.
The focus of Naxos at this event will be on the Shard collection, an original and creative wall tile, which is strongly influenced by traditional Mediterranean ceramics. The contrast of shiny and matte surfaces represents the distinctive feature of the series: the application of glaze on different levels creates a variegated and harmonious effect, which is ideal for embellishing individual architectural details, and is able to capture the light and colours of the Mediterranean region.
