Fishman Flooring Solutions Expands Footprint to Serve Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Market
BALTIMORE, MD., September 16, 2015 – Fishman Flooring Solutions will open a branch in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina effective October 1, 2015. It is the firm’s second expansion of its footprint this year. In April, the company announced its purchase of Cincinnati, Ohio based Tri-State Floor Covering Supplies, with two branches in Columbus, Ohio and single locations in Dayton, Ohio and Crescent Springs, Kentucky.
“Floor covering installers and flooring contractors in the Myrtle Beach market have stressed to us for some time the need for a Fishman branch where they can have daily access to a full line of installation-related supplies,” said Shane Richmond, the company’s regional manager for the Carolinas. “We’ve listened to them and believe that the product inventory at the new, centrally-located Myrtle Beach branch, coupled with our company’s focus on customer service, will give our customers fast access to the products they need and make their professional lives much easier.”
Fishman will inventory its full product line at the Myrtle Beach branch, according to Richmond. All installation-related supplies, including tools, adhesives, floor preparation products, ceramic setting materials, underlayments and cushion, will be available, as will Johnsonite wall base and trims. The branch will also provide material receiving and storage for carpets and vinyl and pallets of flooring materials for local projects.
The new branch will be managed by Ed McCumber, who has more than 30 years experience in the flooring industry, most recently as a flooring installer in the Myrtle Beach area.
Fishman Flooring Solutions, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is the “Solutions Provider” distributor of flooring installation products. It has approximately 175 employees and 34 branches serving Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The firm distributes more than 36,000 products for 75 vendor partners.
