New Fincibec Collections, Substantial Designs
Sassuolo, 18 January 2016 – Presented for the first time at Cersaie 2015 and immediately well received by the audience, the new Monocibec and Century (Fincibec Group) collections enrich their catalogues with new proposals for the world of architecture. In particular, the new solutions have a thickness of 20mm in an innovative 50x100cm format, features which, together with the already high performance of porcelain stoneware tiles, guarantee greater resistance to mechanical stress and to intensive use and a wider range of installation possibilities.

The material inspirations of the new series range from stone and quartzite to technical cements and resins, each adding to a complete and versatile range of sizes, colours, finishes and special pieces. Monocibec invests in Dolomite, a flooring collection of great personality and intense and bright colours, and the broadening of the Crest range.

Monocibec launches its new Crest collection to adorn settings that require highly technical floorings with a simple and elegant touch. There is an intuitive affinity with modern architectural spaces, where Crest finds its natural setting, with a minimalist look reminiscent of the even colour variation of the natural materials it draws inspiration from.

CREST
Made with fine porcelain stoneware, Crest allows for different installation solutions provided by the modular formats and the different finishes available: natural, lapped and grip. The formats with a grip surface, in particular those with 20 mm thickness, make Crest an interesting solution also for outdoor settings thanks to its R11 slip resistance.

The palette of colours selected for Crest, which comprises Alpine, Sand, Silver and Smokey, and the decorative solution offered for the wall mosaic mix and its mosaic, available in all colours, give the collection the versatility required to use them in both residential and commercial settings.

Century proposes P&B, Syncro and Uptown, slabs dedicated to the creation of contemporary settings, where design and architecture combine in elegance and functionality.

SYNCRO
Colours and surfaces give personality to the individual premises, by emphasising spaces and architectural volumes they relate the soul of the project and define its intended use. Syncro is the new collection in fine porcelain stoneware that Century has created to enhance in the finest details every achievement.

Syncro is a complete project, inspired by the modern surfaces and spread out techniques by using the spatula in one single direction on resins and cements, able to interpret in various ways the character of the spaces through the three finishes in the range: soft, natural and lapped. The colours selected for Syncro are neutral but deep, rich in shades that emerge gently and allow interesting combinations, to be emphasised even through the four available formats.

A Decoro tile in the 30 x 30 cm format, available with a soft surface and with a lapped surface, which includes different shades of the Syncro colour range, expresses fully the coating potential of the collection. Syncro Two in the 50 x 100 cm format with grip finish and 20 mm thickness is, instead, the solution proposed for the outdoor achievements.

The thickened versions of these collections allow an extension of the same designs to both indoor and outdoor use, particularly in situations where the two needs coexist and the transition between interior and exterior might otherwise restrict design freedom. The characteristics and weight of the individual slabs allow various applications from dry systems with direct laying on grass, sand or gravel, or laying on elevated adjustable supports to create areas that can be inspected, to traditional laying with glue for the creation of driveways. Furthermore, the R11 A+B+C grip finish allows the use of these products in the design of swimming pool surrounds or spa and wellness areas.

Projects which have made use of Monocibec, Century and Naxos products can participate in the fourth edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award, the international award created by Fincibec Group currently underway. By 31st March 2016, any projects realized between 2011 and 2015 can be entered into the competition. The prize, in addition to the professional, personal and artistic recognition celebrated at a Cersaie 2016 gala event, the top five winners will receive an ‘El Ciclo’ electric bicycle.
