A Week of Events Created by Cerasarda at Milano Design Week
Casalgrande, 16 March 2017 - Design Week 2017 promises a rich schedule of events at Casabella laboratorio, via Marco Polo 13, sponsored by Cerasarda and the Blumer studio of the Accademia di Architettura USI, Mendrisio.

Entitled “Superficie e danza tra geometria e colore”, the installation will feature the colours and surfaces of Cerasarda's Abitare la Terra project, conceived by designer and ceramist Maria Luisa Brighenti and produced with the cutting edge technologies of Gruppo Romani Industrie Ceramiche. Cerasarda's special relationship with Sardinia and its soil has grown over time, and has inspired Prof. Philippe Daverio's “I colori della TERRA”, scheduled for Wednesday 5 April at 7.00 p.m.

On Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 April, at 7.00 p.m., students from Prof. Riccardo Blumer' studio at the Accademia di Architettura USI, Mendrisio will be presenting their performances, entitled “140 Modi di piegare la carta” (140 ways of folding paper). The performance will present a vast variety of geometrical surfaces all created using a single material, dimension and technique, animated and lit to highly evocative effect. The architecture students' works will be an integral part of the installation, which visitors will be able to view from 3 to 9 April, 10.00 a.m. - 10.00 p.m.

A crucial contribution is provided by the lighting of the Zumtobel Group, the installation's technical partner, renowned for its innovative lighting solutions, who will also offer a special evening event entitled “Oltre la materia, esperienza di luce e colore” on Friday 7 April, 7.30 p.m.
