Finale Emilia, 21 April 2017 – To present the new WIDE&STYLE decoration concept during the recently-concluded Milan Design Week, ABK created an original installation entitled STYLE THERAPY in the Molino 48 showroom. It is inspired by the viral phenomenon of colouring books for adults, an artistic pastime that experts claim boosts concentration and helps restore a sense of peace and balance in our daily lives.

It is an appealing idea that has caught the imagination of the public and fits in perfectly with the concept of creative freedom underpinning the WIDE&STYLE project. The relaxing activity of colouring in images and lines traced out on ceramic panels, in patterns ranging from floral motifs to small houses and mandalas, is reflected in the versatility of ABK ceramic products which combine design with ease of cleaning and maintenance.

WIDE&STYLE displays a kaleidoscope of graphic effects that stand out for their taste, style and inspiration. Based on the creativity of young designers, graphic artists and illustrators, these products are capable of transforming spaces with an artistic and original touch. This new “on demand” wall tile collection from ABK Ceramiche combines the excellence of the most innovative technologies with a multifaceted creative spirit capable of giving a personal, distinctive look to any project.

WIDE&STYLE derives from the new WIDE porcelain tile collection produced by ABK Ceramiche with different colours and material effects in sizes up to a maximum of 160x320 cm. WIDE&STYLE opens up new areas of application for porcelain. As well as a wall covering in bathroom and wellness spaces, it is ideal for use in furnishing, in the design of kitchens, living rooms and even bedrooms. It can also be used in commercial spaces such as lounge bars, restaurants and shops and is an innovative solution for exterior façades. WIDE&STYLE solutions can also be easily combined with ABK floor tiles to complete any project flawlessly.

WIDE&STYLE comes in various patterns and includes “single-panel” items envisaged as authentic artworks. The materials used to decorate the WIDE&STYLE surfaces are durable and resistant to UV radiation and humidity, making them ideal for long-term use in wet environments. The large sizes of the panels also reduce the visual impact of the joints and give free rein to the creativity of architects and interior designers, who can use them in the widest range of applications.
