Our Story - The Baldwin Family started in the flooring business over 60 years ago when Don Baldwin Sr. started as a rug cutter in the JC Penney's carpet department. And the story continues from there:
1947-Don Sr. became a carpet salesman at Montgomery Wards
1949-Don Sr. started to work for Laird Carpet
1959-Don Sr. ed his first flooring store on 46th & Leavenworth
1969-Baldwin Carpet Inc was established at 6780 North 90 Street in Omaha, NE
1971 - 1981-Sons Don Jr., Dave, Jim, and daughter Teresa worked part time while going to high school and college. All joined the business full time
1982-Baldwin Carpet Inc. expands its showroom and warehouse facilities to its current Ida St. location
2001-2004-The third generation starts to join the business. Andy, Cole and Justine Baldwin and Luke Dice
2001-The world’s largest flooring co-op searches the Omaha area for the best local floor covering store to join their team
2001-Baldwin Carpet Inc becomes Baldwin's Flooring America
2009-Baldwin’s Flooring America expands by ing a second location in Bellevue, NE
