Lees Carpet

lees carpetLees carpet is committed to being the “single source, total solution” for commercial floorcoverings. Lees is one of the most experienced and respected carpet makers in America. Founded in 1846, the company is headquartered in Greensboro, N.C., with primary manufacturing facilities located in Glasgow, Va.

Lees carpet prides itself on being the trendsetter for the  most innovative designs and colors in the carpet industry. Bright lights, loud cars, constant motion and change: these elements of city life are the source of inspiration for Lees’ newest collaborative effort, the rbn™ (pronounced: urban) carpet collection. It is Representative of Lees’ “out of the box” innovations and commitment to bring the most unique and progressive flooring products to market. The company’s latest endeavor involved collaboration with students of North Carolina State University’s (NCSU) College of Design, who developed initial designs for the Collection. The resulting designs illustrate Lees’ commitment to carpet innovation and reflect the design students’ connection to the new cutting-edge, technology-driven, kinetic city environment.

Lees created rbn™ broadloom carpet as an alternative floor covering product with high-impact aesthetics. Lees takes pride in showing designs that are based on concepts created by the NC State design students representing three different disciplines – graphic design, industrial design and textile design. These students collaborated to envision and create designs for the collection that result in a carpet unlike any other on the market today.

Lees “rbn™ carpet is the next generation of our commitment to the development of fresh and innovative carpet collections. The designs combine the creativity and expertise of undergraduate and graduate students, studying three design disciplines, providing a breadth of design ideas and vision to the project. The resulting designs for this collection are perfect for designers who desire to make a fresh, bold statement in facilities such as corporate or retail environments. We are proud to give prominent recognition to N C State University and these design students at its College of Design.

Lees design staff, drawing its inspiration from delicate floral and organic patterns, combined with a blend of modern simplicity and sophistication, ModaVation introduces its newest collection of carpeting, the Chatei Collection. Designed for hospitality public spaces, suites, convention and meeting spaces, as well as country clubs and senior living facilities, the luxurious cut-pile collection provides the perfect transitional look for traditional environments needing a chic, modern flair.

Chatei means ‘the garden through which guests walk’ in Japanese, and is befitting to this elegant collection of modern organic carpets. The intricately defined patterns, in both medium and large scales, are enhanced with ModaVation by our unique yarn options, including tonal space dyed yarns, metallic accent yarns, and varying textures, created by incorporating heat-set and non-heat-set yarns.

Inspired by primary colors as uncomplicated as those found in crayon boxes, Colorburst broadloom carpeting is featured in 12 bold colorations and lends itself to any interior.  All twelve colors feature a space dyed yarn designed with either bright primary colors or jewel tones that pop randomly from complementary backgrounds, offering a simple way to balance other finishes in a setting. The variety of colors gives this carpet a broad appeal for many markets, from educational to retail.
